OUR
STORY

Uhoreru began with Merab and Paul, and a simple idea:

To create a place of their own, close to the land.

The name Uhoreru was chosen for the sense of peace the area gave them when they first visited Daiga more than a decade ago.

In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, they moved their family from Nairobi to Nanyuki, where they had the land and space to spend more time together. Neither came from a background in herb farming, so they began by learning.

They visited farms, attended agricultural fairs and returned to business school, building the knowledge they needed to turn an idea into a working farm.

Today, Uhoreru brings together agriculture, hospitality and a growing relationship with the community around it.
