A productive farm depends on responsible use of the resources around it.

Uhoreru has a 1.2 million litre water pan supplied by rainfall, alongside rainwater collection from buildings and growing structures. Solar power is already used for irrigation, with the farm working towards moving irrigation to 100% solar power by 2027.

We also look for practical ways to keep useful material within the farm. Produce that does not meet fresh-market specifications can find a second use through the dairy and farmstay operations.

Sustainability here is less about a label and more about how the farm is run day by day.
